my 150 1999 goes about a half a mile and dies.the od just goes to lines, tach and speedo do nothing, fuel pump runs steady.after it sits forquite awhile it will start again and go for a ways.been to ford 3 times and they cant find out what is wrong . need help and clues to find this problem. can anybody help?
This thread looks like it's in confusion!
Are there two people with problems?
Lets be a bit more clear with spelling and sentences, then some direction can be eeked out for what the problem might be.
In the original post, I pick up on a possible ignition failure.
The Crank sensor or the Cam sensor could be involved as intermittant or a plug is loose. This type fault may never have a chance to set code if the motor won't run.
Some work has to be done as a base starting point since we don't know what the dealer has done.
Saying the dealer finds nothing wrong is a ??????????// if the truck won't run. What don't I understand about that?
Lets get feet on the ground and proceed to travel thru the possibilities with accurate feedback or we can't help either.
Discribe cold starting and what happens.
How does it idle, does it ever get to a fully warmed up state?
Need these bits of info to get a base to move from.
