So I havent had a problem with the fuel filter, usually you get a little low on power and then it shuts down. I was on the way home yesterday after having to drive thru about a foot of water when the temp dropped to about 6 degrees. The fuel filter light came on, 2 minutes later truck would not run. So I got up today and replaced fuel filter and it ran for about 2 minutes in idle, then went back the same sceanrio, it died. So I guess I am wondering this. did I freeze something up from the water??? Or did this Bosch fuel pump take a crap on me? When I opened the filter housing up, it had fuel to JUST the BOTTOm of the stand pipe. SO I guess its either not getting it from the lift pump, or I have a frozen clog diezxel gell or whatever you wanna call it. 8 inches of snow forecasted here, so I think I am just going to stick it in the shop with heat and see what happens in 24 hours to see if it was just gelled. Any thoughts????

Havent done anything other than the fuel filter so far. Its just been to dar cold, and I have to get it over to my shop bere I try anything else. I almost bet its froze the more that I think about it. 48 hours of heat will do her some good I think.

Well, got it over to the shop a few minutes ago, turned the heat on, I could have swore I heard the truck sigh.........LOL
I hate having it acorss town, but just cant get it into my garage. I have three snowmobiles, my Yamaha Rhino with snow plow, two dirtbikes, and both street bikes in it for the winter. I think this breakdown taught me a few valuable lessons.
1. Dont drive thru water if its only 6 degrees out, just turn around and say that you cant make it to work.
2. I might want to try to sell some of my stuff so I can get my truck into my home garage.
3. I might want to look for a house in the country that has enough room so I dont have to sell my stuff and can still get my truck into my own garage.
4. I am glad I own my own shop, or lessons two and three would be a pressing issue.....
LOL
Thanks for all the ideas guys, and I only have one real question.
Where is the selector valve actually located at? I assume that sever icing could get it stuck in limbo somehow since I assume it has a selinoid on it correct? I never tried switching tanks as my back tank is almost empty, I might give that a try on wednesday as I am sure we wont be open tomorrow with all the ice and snow that is starting to fall.
