Rim backspacing/ bolt spread

Hey guys. I have a 1985 f-150 and i am looking at getting rid of the old rusty steelies and putting on some nicer ones. I saw some on a 1978 f150 4x4 that were nice. I think they call them rallie wheels? I am also wondering about the difference ( if any, i imagine there is) in backspacing between an 85 rim to a 2000 rim. My guess is that the Brake rotors are different and they may not fit that way. i think my best bet is to go with the older rallies, but i am just curious if the newer rims would work. Thanks for your help.

yeah they'll fit i got a 1980 f150 4x4 and pit a set of the bullet style 10" wide alluminium wheels of a 2001. they look like they might rub cause its real close, but mine are fine, i have heard some say they grind down the brake caliper just a little to make sure but i didn't have to just dpends on the width of the rim
