bassani Y-Pipe

Where can I get a bassani Y-pipe and for how much? I want ot get a y-pipe for my bronco because I would like it to be street legal again, as opposed to being illegal being that my facotry pipe has no cats. Thanks

ebay tends to be the cheaper spot in my opinion. just know that you might need a perticular adapter that bassani sells so the manifold/header mates properly to the Y pipe without leaking. contact bassani and they can give you the part number and the price i think for this part is like maybe $20-30 if i recall

I called a shop and they have in stock a magnaflow car sound Y-Pipe for 180. Found it listed on magnaflows website, but can't find the specs on it. Maybe it's a OE direct fit y-pipe. Looks like a 2 1/2 pipe. Would rather get the 3" pipe and get the extra flow. I will keep an eye out for them on Ebay though, thanks

Does Bassani have a distributor list on their site? If memory serves, I got mine from Proficient Performance years ago. I would say your best bet is to see who they sell to in CA (the home of web/mail order companies) to get the right prices.

Ok, The guy at the muffler shop is going to make me a Y-Pipe. Looking at 2.25 for each pipe coming down to the Y and 3" after with a single 3" cat. I am going ot use a magnaflow cat, but was wondering how much better the spun mettalic converters are compared to the traditional converter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I am not a converter salesman, nor a designer... I just know that the bassani Y unit with high flow cat flowed plenty. Its your money, so spend it as best you see fit.

Well, see I can get the cat. have the y-pipe fabricated, installed and piped to my 3" muffler for about $200. It will be emmissions legal, and 3" all the way to the muffler where ot will be dual 2.25 inch, into 3" tips thats are 45 with the bumper. It should flow very well.
