I also had my engine hydro lock due to an injector replaced under Ford Canada's warranty about a year ago. The copper washer was completely gone as well as both o-rings on the injector they relplaced. Ford Canada is claiming that because my warranty had just run out at the time of the engine siezing and any warranty work that they do is only warrantied for 5 months that I am out of luck. The dealer supports my claim but Ford Warranty doesn't so I guess it's off to court I go. If anyone has any other info on this type of injector failure I'd appreciate it.

nope, no warranty here...all my own doing...

truck is up and running today and nothing seems to be bent based on test drive, fuel system hopefully to go on next week...itp reg return and the air dog fuel preparator. let's hope this helps.

btw, torque on the LH bank was only 15 lbs, so good chance the rh side was also this low. good call matt. as for the torque setting, ford recommends 24 lbs accdg to dealer inst. manual. so that is what he torqued to. is this the right number matt? you mentioned 26 in an earlier post, curious to where the disconnect may be. as he has written documentation also...

thanks for everyones input!

24 lb-ft is correct, however since using a long bit is neccessary to reach the hold down properly (without side loading the fastener) I always add 2lb-ft to make up for the torsional loss through the bit.
