Question How do I install this trim?

I was able to scrounge up one of the 8ft aluminum bed trim moulding pieces for my Custom Cab 66 F100. The bed has all of the original trim mounting clips still on the bed, any advice on how to install it so it STAYS on?

It appears you could just loosen the clips and twist them into the grooves on the back of the moulding, and tighten them up - Am I missing anything?

That is pretty much it if the clips are in good enough shape to be re used. If not new ones maybe a good idea. The clips are made to fit in to the molding and held in by plastic piece attached to the back of the clip and then install the molding. If the plastic on the back of the clip is gone they should be replaced. The plastic contacts the painted surface so you do not have bare or rusty metal contacting the painted surface. This of course is just my perspective on the subject. I am sure others will have their own ideas. I hope this is of help to you.
