I Had just bought my 93 and decided that that 2 tone blue nedded a mud bath ! So i drove up to a place about 12 miles away from the closest town and decided to go mobbin thru this big *** mud hole! But like a ******* i didnt look at it i just hit the gas and held on! well i made it through and turned around in 2 wheel drive! so i took off back through it and about half wat through the front end dropped! i was stuck! so i hoped out locked in the hubs and the case! then sterted tryin to get out! well long story short my 31s were buried and axles planded in the dirt i tried for about an hour to get out and finnaly a chitty came up the road! it was a duramax 2500 02! he hooked upto me and tried his best but didnt get anywhere! so he went on his way! he said i needed a towtruck! so i called a buddy of mine wwith a 3/4 ton dodge! he had a 1 1/2 inch tow rope end a hook type hitch! he hat the 35-12.50-16 bfg m/t tires! he finally got me out but there was some headstartin to do it!
I had a 94 ranger, stx, so it came with 31's on it from the factory. pretty nice truck, 31 inch procomp alterains, warn brush gaurd with 2 inch reciever, flat black bumpers front and rear, no plastic shrowd under the front bumper etc. i took it to a spot that i had been thru several times before, started thru and it just stopped dead. it turned out someone with quite a bit larger tire went thru and tore it all up. i got hung up on both the axles and my rear hitch. so the only one around was my dad, gave him a call and he headed out. In the mean time I started digging out the hitch. When he got there he hooked up and tried pulling and it didn't even budge it, so I tried sawing the steering wheel hoping to find some solid ground and it worked, and it eventually pulled it's self out. At the time I had all the windows open, the sunroof out and the back window, the interior was trashed.
well this isnt exactly a MUDDING story but a sand dune story :P
i have only 2x4 my front hubs are broken so i went and have some fun in the dunes.. with the 4x4 low engaged to get those high gears i went in no sweat.. was screaming at 4500 rpm in third nice then go onto a hard surface.. and sand all around me.. if i keep going i will go deeper in the dunes.. so i desided to head back the same way i came... ( mistake )!! turn the truck around and floor it... got halve way and the front tires.. kind of hold and got me stuck the rear tires and axle was completly burried in sand i said im done!!! but i tried reverse and it moved.. so i did a reverse then forward repeated that a few times then it finally moved forward a bit so i didnt let my foot of the trottle was screaming at 4500 rpm but i got out... barelly... then i had to stop and wait for the engine to cool down.. lol. i was scared becuase i dont know who the heck could get me out... everyone has toyotas and suzuki's my truck wieghs 2 times more than them..
