OK, So now I am looking into FRR and have a couple of questions. easy one first who all makes them? I want to get this before a Fass system. I am not looking into building a race truck but tow 10,000lbs with my rv and love playing with the "other" brands and the ricers. I want to have a very reliable truck and have been reading and building my wish list.
Since my headstuds have been installed my downpipe rattles the seam on the firewall on WOT. I plan on removing the downpipe but wonder if there is a easy way to do so? I used the u bolts to tighten the pipes and know I will have a bear of a time to get them apart so I can mash the seam down. The buddy that did the studs swears the cab was replaced on the oem marks but whatever.
Any other MODS I can look into and try to make a reliable 6.0!!!
I like Storm dont think the Hybrid file is as hott as my UC file. I will run the hybrid file as long as it stays cold but will most likely switch when warmer weather
Along with the FASS and FRR, I'd also get a Fluidampner, coolant filter, oil bypass filter, CCV reroute, stage 1 injectors. Don't know about the downpipe.
Yesterday I installed ITPs rr system that I bought from Spartan Diesel. The quality of all parts is excellent and the instructions are very easy to follow.I would recommend this system but have no idea who else makes them.
your downpipe just wasent bolted back on to the turbo correctly. loosen the band clamp where the turbo meets the down pipe and crawel under the truck and wiggle it back and forth untill you find the position where it dosent hit the cab.
I would recommend this system but have no idea who else makes them.
I thought they were the only ones that made them til someone mentioned that ATS also makes them. I have the ITP kit and that's the one I would recommend, ATS tends to be a little high for what you get in my opinion. I would also take care of the egr and egr cooler as well, eventually that will give you problems and if you do everything that drakul20us suggests, I would get atleast the 150/180 FASS to take care of your fuel requirements and leave room for future stuff as well.
