Fuse keeps blowing

Fuse keeps blowing

My 03 F350 keeps blowing the exterior lamp fuse,I have disconnected the trailer wiring assembly and replaced the fuse 3 times..just keeps blowing,my next step is to unplug all of the plowing wires and try and replace it again but I'm not sure that it's the problem...any suggestions?

My electrical gremlin experience has taught me to always look to the non-factory or modified factory components first. That said, I think you are on the right track.

Does the fuse blow when the lights are on, or when the lights are off?

Thanks for the response...it was the plow wiring assembly....

Reminds me of a co-worker who solicited my help with his parking/interior light fuse going out in his Chevy. He had tore apart just about everything trying to isolate the short. First thing I checked was his trailer light harness plug. It was uncapped and the prongs were wedged into his back bumper causing a direct short when he turned his lights on.
