I've had a Diamond Eye 4" turbo back system on my 06 PSD for about a year now. After about 3 months I noticed deisel fumes coming into the cab when stopped at a light with the AC on. To deal with it I would flip the AC to recirculate...no more fumes. Finally had enough so I took it back to the exhaust shop and complained. They found the leak and blamed it on a bad weld that cracked open. They installed a new down pipe and further "sealed' it up with some black sealent crud.
All was fine...that is till my turbo broke down and my dealer replaced it under warranty. Now the leak is back and I'm being poisoned with fumes again. So I ask my exhaust shop to pull off the Diamond Eye system and make me a deal on something else that didn't leak, like maybe Magnaflow or whatever....he says that that ALL after market down pipes for the 6.0 are virtually the same and that I should think about putting on a stock down pipe to fix the problem. Says he'll wait for the next 6.0 to come into the shop and save the DP for me.
Anyone else had this problem? Is there an inherent problem with the design of aftermarket systems?
And does anyone have stock DP they want to sell me for cheap?
