02 mountaineer using oil

02 mountaineer using oil
02 mount. has 110k miles and is using 3 quarts of oil between oil changes which i change every 5000 miles no towing, plowing, or offroading, no spots in the driveway any ideas why this is happening?

First check if you are leaking rings and valve seals. Compression/leakdown test. Check colour of plugs while you have them out.
Is you PCV stuck, it will suck oil into intake manifold
Ther may be no spots on driveway, but check undercarriage for oil slick from blowback(airstreaam)
BTW ford states 1 Qt per 3000, is acceptable.

Changed plugs at 100k and they all looked great. No smoke from the pipe and i cannot locate the PCV valve and i have searched i could use some direction on its location.
