hey Xaviar, how is everything going? what you have is a plain jane pair of 429 passenger car heads. C9AE-A. C = 1960's ,,, 9=the year 1969,, A= the model code and A stand for all full size fords,, E= represents the engine division. sorry these are not police heads. these could have come off old thunderbirds! they are a good pair of heads the comp. ratio is 10.5:1. hope this helps ya out. later....
Howdy CJ, Everything is fine here. Yeah, I knew they were 69 heads, was hopeing for a diamond in the rough........LOL. Well, at least they're a good set to use. I knew they were different. I've never seen a set of 429/460 with a substantial quenched area around the plug.
Just a bit more for you, the chamber size is 75.8cc, valves are 2.08 and 1.66, ports sizes are 2.18 x 1.87 and 1.99 x 1.30. Can be upgraded to the CJ size valves and a little port work on the exhaust side mostly with matching on intake side will really help these even if you don't put in the larger valves.
