August or September. What's the rush - not likely to be any changes from the current 2008 Job 3 builds.

There's been some chatter on here; the only major change is a 6spd TorqShift. Let wait and see.

Already there. The TorqShift is a five speed tranny w/ six actual gearings.

What benefit does the 2009 F250 6 speed tranny have?

I am getting ready to purchase a new F250.. wondering what the benefit would be to wait till the 2009's are released?
What benefits does a six speed tranny offer?

Unless there has been a major change, do not expect to see the 6-spd TorqShift (6R140) before the 2010 model year.

Not to point at you (because I see this often from people), but....

What problems?? This is the same exact truck from the past few years, except for a few cosmetic tweaks. Are we afraid that the glue specified to keep the quiet steel dash in place might fail?

It's not the same old truck, it has a new 6.4 diesel, and a regen system in the exaust. I've heard several complaints about the truck running strange when regen kicks in. Time will tell.

i have a 4 speed auto and 4.10 gears in my truck, and when i was looking at getting a 08 all they had was 3.73. i pull on the heavy side of what the 5.4 should be doing, so i did not want to go down in gears. the 5 speed auto is basicly (gear ratio wise) the same as mine with a extra gear in the front. second gear is about the same as my first gear. so a 5sp auto w/ 3.73 is about the same as my truck. so if i was to get the 4.10 then i would be way ahead. if they have a 6sp then more than likely 1st gear will be even deeper. more pulling power off the line.

I don't hear anyone bragging about the MPGs either. As far as gas goes, your right. But, I'm a diesel guy. Not that gas is a bad thing.
