Anyway to test COP's
I have a new fuel filter, new plugs/boots/springs installed last month or so, none of these made any difference. At $58/ea I'm not about to buy 10 and replace them hoping that solves this problem, so it'd be nice if there was a way to check the coils out with a multi meter or something to find a faulty, or on the way out coil pack.
thanks in advance for any help
Josh
Have you chkd your fuel pressure ?
Did you use oem plugs ,we've seen non oem plugs cause wierd things.
A vacum leak at the intake ,would set off the chk engine light ,lean bank1 or 2
Cop's can be chk with a ohm meter ,but its not acurate or a very good indicator of a failing one.
But since your problem is when its cold it might show a difference in ohm's.
Most of the time they fail when hot.

MAF, AIC valve, and throttle body have all been throughly cleaned (i've done as much cheap/easy stuff as i know possible

Plugs are OEM motorcraft's, boots/springs are borg warner.....truck had this miss before i changed plugs...it's actually what made me swap plugs so cant believe brand new boots/springs would be the culprit since it's running the same as it ever has since it started acting funky.
I'll take some brake clean and do some spraying around obvious points and see what happens tomorrow
