Can anyone tell me if one of the newer 200 amp Police Interceptor alternators (140 amps at idle) will fit in place of the standard alternator on my 2002 Expedition with the 5.4L without any wiring or connector modifications? Thanks!

 

Yes it does, only the windings are different on the inside.

 

Thanks for the reply. I have access to one through work (I upfit police vehicles) and with the accessories I'm running on my Expy, I thought the added output at idle would be worth the upgrade if it will work.

 

What are you powering? You have some big amps?
