I have been using 2 cycle outboard motoroil in my truck, i use 1 ounce/1 gallon of fuel. The question is how often should i use it? i have been adding it to the fuel at every fillup. i also use diesel kleen on a regular basis
not sure if this helps, but i use 8 oz of low ash 2-stroke oil and 8 oz of dieselkleen on every 18 gallon fillup in front tank. would use it in rear tank, but new rear tank is sitting in garage in box right now. have only had good results with that mix. even seems to pick up about 1/2 to 1 mpg on mileage.
when i first started using the two cycle oil my mpg went up, the idea of using both of them together had not occurred to me. i use one 16oz. bottle of the oil in each tank at fillups

main reason i started using the 2-stroke oil was because of the uls diesel fuel that came out. wasn't sure if '90 ip would stand the low sulphur and didn't want to risk burning pump up so started using it at every fillup. the dieselkleen just seemed to be natural addditive to go with it.
it makes sense to me. i started using it for the same reason. the 2 cycle oil is designed to dissolve in the fuel & lubricate the outboard engine, there is no reason to think it wouldn't do the same thing in any engine.
Diesel Kleen has formulas specificly for ULS Diesel I've just been useing that 6 cetain boost int thee summer and anti gel in the winter and my IP is fine.
