Broken Timing Cover - HELP!
HELP! I broke the timing cover on my 89 460 trying to pry the old seal out and was wondering if someone knew if one from a 96 would work on it? The casting on the 96 is F6TE-6059-GA but the Ford Dealer said they didn't see where it would cross.

yes it will, only issue is if you use the newer style on an older vehicle with the mechanical fuel pump the FI covers don't have it punched out or drilled and tapped but your 89 shouldn't have a mechanical pump anyway. You can use trhe older ones on a newer engine you just have to by a fuel pump block off plate.
