5.0 air intake

Is there a CAI or AI for an 86 5.0? I would think getting the airbox away from the motor would keep it cooler and draw in cooler air.

I was thinking making a custom intake or something that brings the filter to where the "ram air" tube gos from the grill to the airbox.

Anyone else done intake mods?

Move the air box over onto the fender well, take the little blocking plate off the rad
support, use some larger tubing to hook up the air box to the rad support. You will
need some aluminum stock to build a little platform to hold the box there and you can
either get new tubing or use some pvc and the stock rubber for the hose. Use the old
air tubing to duct air from the rad support to the TFI module on the dist to help keep
it cool in the fla summers!! Be sure to leave some slack in the tubing to the motor so
it can move with the engine.
