Trailer Wiring
I am hooking up back-up lights and the dome light for the canopy and hoping to use existing wires in the harness. My truck came with the standard flat 4 trailer connector. I have found the electric brake wire in the harness under the bed that is not used and am trying to find the charging wire (the electrical box under the hood shows a relay for this)or a 12v+ wire. Does anyone know what wires are run to the back and what the color codes are?

When I had my Snugtop installed . They drilled a small hole in the tailgate latch pillar and ran the wires to the starter solenoid on the firewall with a fuse in series . There is no full time hot wire on the trailer connections .
