Loose mirror
I have a 98 Expy Eddie Bauer 4X4. The driver side mirror glass is loose, not the whole mirror assembly, just the glass. It vibrates at speed and renders it virtually useless. Is ther a way to tighten it or do I have to replace the entire housing?

The mirror itself snaps on with some plastic pegs. You could check the mounting by moving the mirror all the way in to check one side, and all the way out to check the other side. Maybe one of the pegs is broken, or maybe it has just popped out slightly. Not sure if you live in cold weather, but sometimes if you use a scraper for the ice things happem. Cheers

Wow, its like I thought of it, and this thread appeared. Got the same problemo. Yes, in cold weather...I'm sure the previous owner used an ice scraper on it, as I have had to also! I'm going to check mine ASAP...both mirrors doing it. My dad says we need to move to a warmer climate so the plastic parts can expand, and crapola like this can stop happening!
