So I got in my truck yesterday and I looked at my engine temp gauge(ECT...I think) and I thought it was running a little on the cool side. I could of swore that after driving for a while I was above the symbol.
Here is a picture that I took after my drive from work, 30-35 minutes. Hwy driving and some city, pulled into driveway and snaped the pic. OAT was 37F indicated. Sorry for the blurred picture, but you get the point.
So where does your truck run, is this normal, am I imagining things?
2004 F350 CC LB 6.0PSD 4in lift 73k, no engine mods......yet....
if it is that cold outside, it is very possible that the truck wasn't even up to its normal operating temperature after only a half hour of driving...
does your always sit that low ? i wouldn't worry about it as long as everything is running fine, but if you are concerned you should look into aftermarket gauges because the factory ones are not really gauges but more of idiot lights like the guy above stated. highly inaccurate at best.
