Need Tires

What kind of tires should i get for my 2000 Ford Ranger?


Can i put 235/75's on a truck that has 225/70's

That's what I am running on my rear. (leftover from my F-150). They're visibly taller. though they only seam to be about 2 MPH off at 65.

As for what kind, it's mostly personal choice, but from the info I've seen it's hard to beat the Firestone Destination LE, and the more aggressive AT. watch out for the Uniroyal Tiger Paw, very weak sidewall, squishy ride. Same with Mastercraft Courser A/T.

Also seen some good mileage and handling from Hankook's lately, for a cheaper alternative. Stay away from Nankang and Nexen.

I replaced my 225 70's on my 2002 B3000 with 235 75's with no problems, just knocked the speedometer out by 5 Km. Went with Dunlop "Rover" AT Mud"N"Snows and I love them. Put a couple hundred pounds of sandbags in the rear and I havn't spun a tire yet.

Yes, they would fit fine, and will run about $80-90 dollars a piece depending on the brand.
