Water in fuel module/ ICP sensor
Left my truck at the dealer today for a CEL code p2285 (ICP sensor). Truck would surge/chug on cold start lasted less the 10 sec, then would start and run fine till the next morning. The dealer just called and said I had about $2,600 of repairs that needed to be done but most of them were covered by the warranty (wish I could remember all the stuff he said) and the repairs would be a little less then $300 out of pocket, I told him just to do the warranty items. Boy talk about being shocked...One the items he said that needed to be replaced was the water in fuel module (that was the one item not covered by the warranty) and that if I didn't replace it I would continue to get a CEL light and it would cause me problems later. I've never had the WIF light came on. Does this make sense?
