06 6.0 lost power for 2 seconds
We just returned from a 3800 mile trip through the southeast with our 5th wheel. The truck did great towing and ran like a top the whole time, until about 250 miles from home. All of a sudden the truck lost power, the speedo went to -0-, I pushed on the accelerator and suddenly the power came back, the speedo came back up and the ABS light came on. The brakes have felt okay, until attempting to back the trailer in the driveway, slightly up a hill, then they felt okay, but were very noisy. The power steering was very weak--I had to use some muscle to turn it! The ABS light remains on. I've seen other posts like this but none with a real answer. Does anybody have any idea what would cause this? I am about to take it to the dealer and do not want to be fed a line....29,800 miles, no mods.

i just had a similar issue and it was wire chafing. Mine was the replaced icp harness on the turbo pipe. there are some good posts about wire chaing that lead to other sites also there is a tsb from ford on this and you are still in 36k warranty. this is for 03 to 05 but is a place to start maybe? If the rear axle does not work for you.
