My current bed has rusted out, but I have a nice flatbed frame. I'm not sure if I should go with wood or diamond plate to finish it off. I really want to see what a flatbed looks like on the Fseries. I didn't have much looking, so if anyone has advice or pics please send me in the right direction.
Unless it's a dually, it looks pretty ugly. But you have to do what you have to do. I was in the same situation with my 1980, but the wife put her foot down when I mentioned a flatbed. And I have to agree, in the function department they work well, but in the looks department they fail miserably.
I don't know about that. I have a 1980 f250 with a 9 foot flatbed. It looks pretty sharp. But the truck is am interesting 2-tone orange and brown color. So the rusty brown and rusty orange match the rusty steel of the flat bed. Let me see if I can get some pictures and figure out how to load them.
I have done a lot of research lately. If you are just looking for ideas, search the web for toyota flatbeds. They seem to be quite popular for toyotas. Some of them look pretty decent. Mine would be longer, and it would be set up with things other than wheeling in mind. DirtStrip or anyone else, That would be great if you could figure out some pics. I'll try to post the links to the ones I was thinking of...
