Hi, I have a 00 F450 diesel and the dome light don't work; I did check the switch and work fine, check the bulb and have no juice. Can somebody tell me where is the relay for it or if it have any other component who can be bad? PLEASE HELP!!!
In the underdash fuse box you have a 10 amp fuse at location #14. That feeds an interior lamp relay that is also located in the underdash fuse box. This relay is controlled by the GEM module. The GEM module is what receives the input from the door switches.
One thing you can check for is water damage. Have you had any other intermittent elec problems? If these trucks develop windshield leaks, the water runs down into the GEM module mounted under the dash, and the fuse box can get wet too, causing intermittent crazy problems.
I am having the same problem with the dome light. 00 f350 diesel dually. dome, cargo & courtesy lights done come on when you open the doors. changed out the 10a #14 fuse and relay. any ideas what part messed up to locate the problem.
