Trailer Brakes

Does the 2003 250 super dutys come with trailer brake controler installed. It has the towing package

No. It is on 05 up. There is the connector under the dash that you can get a harness from the dealer to put a aftermarket controller. I have a 04 and did this. You splice the pigtail into the harness comming out of the controller and then plug it up under the dash. The connector is under the dash. Remove the rectangle cover that you remove to access the fuse box. The connector should be on the right side. It is a =n easy install probably about 15 minutes.

The harness should be part of the tow package. Look in the glove box, the harness for mine was in a plastic bag in there when I bought it.

No Splicing Required

When I got my Prodigy controller I got the harness that plugs into the controller and then into the dash connector for free. No need to splice anything. The only thing that takes time is to mount the controller.

DSMMH, I did the same even tho I had the factory harness. Cost an extra $12 but I was just too lazy to splice it together, LOL.

Mine was used and it wasn't there. I made the dealer throw it in.
