Malfunctioning overhead trip computer

I have a 03 F350 Lariat and my trip computer quit working. It went dark about a week ago and hasn't worked since. I tried to take it down to check the connection but there are no visible screws holding it to the headliner. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Yup, this is a common issue with the overhead units.

How many miles do you have on your 03? I've got an 03 F250 King Ranch with 61K on it...and so far no problems with my overhead unit.

My 99 quit while under warrenty but only recently figured out why myself. The center marker light had a small leak and shorted out the darn thing.

Thanks for the great info. Now for my next question. How do you get the stupid thing down off of the headliner? I cant see any visible screws or clips. I hope I dont have to pull the whole headliner down.

Yeah, that makes sense, but my truck doesn't have marker lights.

I have about 110k on my 03. This the first problem I have had with it. It has been a good truck so far.
