you said that i would have to rotate the enigne as i set the rocker arms....my cam doesnt have a ny instructions, but shouldnt i set them at tdc of each rotation for each cylinder? lemme know what i need to do, and thanks for all your help.

That's right Mike...you need to start at TDC for your #1 piston and then rotate the crank 90 degrees each time as you go through your firing order. Use your fingers to turn the nut to adjust to zero lash as its very easy to overcome the spring in the hydraulic lifter and go past zero. Once zero lash is achieved (pushed rod just stops turning or you feel light drag as you rotate it by hand)then use your wrench to give it the required turn down. If you really want to be assured on your setting you can re-adjust the setting once the engine is running...but it's messy.
