i plan on using an electric fuel pump, and i know i have to use the stock mechanincal fuel pump eccentric, but do i really need the ring that surrounds it too?
mike
this may be too late...but if not, i woudl suggest installing the cam eccentric. i almost didnt on one of my vehicles because i was running an electric pump at the time but about a year later i ended up switching back to mechanical and was glad i left it. its always better safe than sorry...it woudl suck to have to pull the timing cover and all that. anyway, i dont think leaving it off would help you at all but whatever you want.
Good point.
That's why when you deviate from factory settings, regardless of
the settings, you need to weight the results.
Example: can I afford to continue this way if something breaks or goes wrong?. or will I have to go back to the factory settings.
If you know that there will be a chance that you will go back, then have a return route.
