Crossover exhaust thinghy????
The is a crossover thing in the bottom of my intake that lines up with two of my exhuast port on my heads. What is this for?
They are stock heads, and the intake is a Weiand Stealh PN8012.

Hi Dave. I'm from the GM side of things <<s-h-h-h...don't tell anybody!!>> and this runner warms up the bottom of the carb and the fuel. Most of the GTO's and 427's I've built would leave my shop with the port blocked with a piece of tin and gasket compound, allowing a cooler fuel mixture to the carb and a little stronger running engine. Be prepared for painful cold starts in the winter, though. It's just there to make everything work a lot smoother. Some intake manifold gaskets can even be purchased that have this already blocked off.....

Thanks for the info. Also another question, with the intake I got there is a short piece of pipe the goes to water cross over something or nother, what does this do, is it for my heater? thanks Dave
