GPM question

Can anyone tell me if 14 MPG is acceptable for a 1997 F-150 Lariat supercab with the 5.4 engine. I have a tonneau cover on the back and thought that this would help, but I guess not.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Greg

GPM question

All I can say is 14 mpg sounds a lot better than the title of your thread, "GPM" (Gallons Per Mile):-staun

GPM question

Perhaps this was a subconscious slip on my part ... Sometimes it feels like GPM when the tank needs to be filled.

GPM question

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Jan-02 AT 03:05 PM (EST)]Forgot to say I'm doing a little better. About 17mpg but, it's a 2wd, shortbed, regular cab(5.4L). Also, a '99. I noticed Ford bumped up their mpg estimates in successive years. More plastic and less steel I suppose. You can see that in the front bumpers.

14 is right on. You might be able to change it a mile or two one way or the other but 14 is the mark.
