Chargin?
My 92 f-350 has been hard starting and turning over more slugish than normally. I figure my alternator is on the way out. When it fires up the volts gauge reads a steady 10 volts or so. When i rev the motor up the guage climbs slightly. Finally if i turn bout 2200 rpms the volt meter reads bout 13 volts and stays there. Could it be anything else? And around how much is a alternator for this year model truck?

I would clean all battery connections including grounds on the engine.
Be sure to check for any part of the cables turning green (common)
then check the batteries and charging system most parts houses will do this for you.
don't forget your belt can cause low slow charging too.

I had the same problem with my truck. The batteries were surface charging and the trick prgressively becam e harder and harder to start because it was turning the motor over slower and slower. It got to the point where on a night it would get below freezing it would take 2 hrs to start the dang thing, not ever starter fluid would kicker over. It turned out that the wires in the passenger side battery terminals had rotted out and were unable to keep up with the need for power. I cut the cables back and put new terminals on. Man does she crank over now, sounds just like a powerstroke and fires very easy even on the coldest days.
