Thats standard on all the trucks unless you got the ambulance package with dual alternators. That came with the hose that goes around the belt. I'd like to smack the engineer who designed this.
Ya I would have to take that hose off to change the belt But isnt there fluid in there so if you disconnected it the fluid would pour out right
Yes, there is fluid in there. I just drained a couple of gallons out of the bottom of the radiator into a CLEAN 5-gallon pail, changed the hose, and put the fluid back in.
I also installed a clamp around the hose to keep it from going up against the belt. You'll see where Ford kindly supplied a place on the bracket to do this.
