manual hubs broken
I have a 94 f150 5l 4x4. Living at 8000ft with much snow and mud. Left from a home visit last week and heard a clunk when trying to get out of the driveway, uphill, mud, ice and snow. After getting out disengaged the inside lever with hubs still locked, more clunking. Anyway, both hubs bad. Replaced with power winch because they were available. Happy with new hubs. However the same day my 99 ranger with Auto hubs would not engage, both the actuator moter and the hubs were bad. So, to all of you who poopoo manual hubs, they break, those of you who poo poo auto hubs they break as well. Durn bad week and the snow is now at 6 inches this am. Both vehicles are used to haul wood and drive in the dirt but not for fun. Anyway. Just so you know. Norte
