Ok so here is my deal, I have 2004 f150 extended cab 5.4. I bought the truck with dual exhaust coming out in front of the right rear wheel. this is a system that the person had someone make and put on. They acually turned it into true dual exhaust. They cut off both the rear most converters and hooked in behind the first converter/o2 sensor. Anyhow my issue is there are leaks in the system. Any if there is one thing that annoys me the most it is exhaust leaks! Any how I am looking to maybe replace the entire system pretty much from the headers back(using the original headers still), so doea anyone have any recommendations on what to buy or what option I have?
IMO i hate magnaflow mufflers... they are junk. they all sound the same.. ford dodge, chevy, they all sound pretty close to the same. ur 2004 is it the new body style? i have a 2004 f150 new body style and i have both cats taken out, a roush side exit exhaust( infront of the right rear tire) and i just installed last saturday ford racing header my self..
ill tell u right now if u plan on installing headers ur self it is a pain in the butt. i have my own shop and am a 2nd year apprentice and it took my 7 hours to put them in.... and i couldnt imagine putting the headers on while working on the ground. anyway....
its all up to what you want. one more reason i dont like maganaflow is cause every single person and there dog has magnaflow on there trucks. The tips dont provide dispersing the heat very well.. u drive it for a week or so ur tips turn gold.. i only have 20,000 kms on my Roush exhaust but the tips still look as good as the day i took em out of the box.
the roush sounds allright with the cats cut out. a tad louder and much deepr sound but not real loud and anoying. I sure like it. espeically with the ford racing headers. Now i was gonna buy a cold air, but gonna save some cash and buy a blower for it in the summer
