i liked the idea of putting a reciever hitch front and rear and mounting the winch up to a plate so it can be moved front to rear. winches are expensive.

Our trucks are limited on space, and winch mounting is difficult at best. There are limited bumpers still in production, but tend to look a little "old school", not that this is a bad thing, it is just that some are looking for something not quite so dated.
Here is an idea for you; have you considered using a reciever up front, and using a winch mount that will slide into the reciever?
This will allow you to locate the winch up front, or out back fro different winching needs. You are only limited by the cables and connections. You can run a set of cables at both ends of the truck and use a plug to make this a very simple set-up.
If you consider this, you can hide a late 90's F-150 reciever upside down, with the ends cut off right inside of the frame rails. The F-150 reciever has the exact amount of bend required to place the opening right behind the front license plate on a stock bumper. I mean, exactly behind it, and you cant even see it. By using a 60's style car "flip up" license plate bracket, you can have easy access to your reciever, and you will never see it until you need it.
I can send you some pics if you like.
