Banks PowerPack

Hi. I have a 1991 F250 Supercab with the 460 and the E40D transmission. I am considering putting a Banks PowerPack in it and I am wanting to know if anyone else has done this and what the results have been and if they would recommend it. Thanks

Andello;

I installed the Power-Pack on an '88 F-250 460 about a year and a half ago. Installation took about 14-16 hours, if you are an experienced mechanic, you could probably do it in 8. Fit, finish, and quality are excellent, installation is reasonably straight forward and easy, instructions are clear. All needed parts are included, and appear to be high quality. The stainless steel should last many years. Horsepower / torque increase is noticeable, don't have access to a dyno to see what the numbers are, but it's definitely got more power. I haul a 9½ foot camper, and occasionally a motorcycle trailer, and it really pulls up the mountain passes in the west.

Although you can do it yourself, there may be some advantage to having someone else do the installation, particularly if they have a chassis dyno and can tune it for the best power increase.

It is expensive, to me it was worth the cost, and I'd do it again. There are some cheaper alternatives out there, and some other quality products to consider.

Good luck, Paul
