Overloads will only change your ride when you reach them, so you wont change the empty ride now, just the loaded.
Rearching your pack might get you back to where you were originally, though sometimes they dont always want to stay where you bent them.
Having had extra leafs and bags, I have to say the bags are far more versatile. And you do not need an on board compressor. I also had the Firestones and they're durable as all get out. I could run them from 10lbs to 80 depending, no worries.
I have the firestone bags in my Chevy, and just bought a set on Ebay for my F250 for 100 Bucks, I did the whole deal for about 450 with compressers, tank and then just to be an *** I added the train horn They work great and I pull about 14K worth of horses and trailer 3 or 4 days a week
Thanks guys, looks like the air bags are the way I'll be going. Just got to find a few extra $$$ and some time. I knew you guys would know which way to go.
Do you use a weight distrabution hitch? Mine would also sag alittle but with the WD it doesn't sag but sits level. My TT in 10K and about 850 toung weight. And you do have a leveling kit right ( think I read in your sig)? Any weight on the rear with a leving kit will make it sag some in the rear. Air bags would be a good idea, thats what I want to get sometime.

the weight distribution is a definate plus,I don't tow any of my trailers even empty any distance without it
even my sons f150 pulls my 16' eclosed trailers fully loaded with no saggs with the W/D hitch
Yes I have a WD hitch and I do have the leveling kit. I am pulling the same things I have pulled for years and just lately it has started sagging noticable more when towing loaded. I did carry some very heavy loads of lumber in the bed this fall that way overloaded the springs and really made the truck squat. I know that had to weaking the springs some and now I need to do something to help. I have never had any good luck with reaching springs and don't want to spend to buy new ones. The truck sets level and ride good unloaded or with a light load. Just the heavier tounge weights are causing it to squat more than I like. After your responses, I think airbags will solve my problems. Thanks again for you responses.
