Hey everyone! New to this forum but not to the site...I have been around for awhile now with my ol' 85 Bronco, 02 F150 and a 99 F350 PSD...
And now to add to the collection....I just bought my daughter a 1970 250, 2wd auto tranny with 48K orignal miles. All orginal, (I doubt that tho...mirrors don't look original) It had been sitting for some time but with a new battery...it fired right up. $1500. Worth it? I wanted something that was made of real steel if she got into an accident. The kids first car and her choice was a Ford truck...(At least I did something right!).
Anywho... here it is. I will be doing some work on it as time goes by to make it look nicer...
I'll be hitting on here for where to get parts for this thing....I need to start first with the brakes....minor issues but they still work.

Me? HA! The kid found it...sitting in a barn when I was out horse shopping.
She came running up to me with wide eyes and I thought she just found something dead! She is deaf so instead of signing to me, she just grabbed my arm and started dragging me off. THe owner of theplace thought the same thing I did and followed us until she saw what the excitement was about. She laughed...said $2K, I said $1500 and done deal. So I had to go back home and get the trailer....so much for that horse.
Very nice and clean too!! I just bought a 71 longbed, and hope to drive it soon. Your girl is a FORD enthusiast--good for you!! I like all vehicle makes, but these old ford trucks are very much my style.
Wish mine ran the 1st time, and I have near 1500 in her now. 750 BUCKS PAID AND NEAR 700 TO GET HER TO A DRIVABLE STAGE!! Good luck!!
Sweet truck for a sweet girl! She has excellent taste! I think Dad will have to ride along to keep the boys at bay. $1500 is cheap! That's the starting price for a cancer ridden POS here in the rust belt. Next time I'm in the market for a new truck, I'm going out West and looking in barns! Congrats!
