Okay, this is not the correct place to post this, but you guys all ROCK!
after the securing of my PSD + mods. I have a darker project in mind.
I really love my F150, and I love the Coil TTB susspension.
12 valve is about 850ish lbs. Bout double the weight of the standard 302 I have in there now.
Have any of you done this swap?
I'm thinking it will make a hell of a truck. Especially if I stick in a 10.25 stearling or just put in a nice Tosen locker in a 8.8
Hmm. Thinking about it. If i can find an f150 with a i6 in it, maybe the motor will install easier, and i'll have a good motor setting around.
Got 25 grand? I have two friends that have done the swap, and the one who actually kept all the reciepts, ......25K. Of course it's modded to crap, but wow.. Conservitive would be 15k and up.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it's not a kick azz project. And by all means do it if you can. I'm just saying it will be expensive. But heck ya, do it if you can cuz it's cool as hell.
if your lookin' for an F-150 w/ a straight 6 one of my friends has one for sale right now. it's a single cab short bed 4x4 5sp. motor is in great shape and has somewhere around 150,000 miles on it. i can't remember the price right now though. it's a '94 or '95.
