Stupid K&N filter ????

Stupid K&N filter ????

So I was checking over the truck and I see a sticker on the airbox that says the truck has a K&N filter. But when looking at the filter it appears white in color and looks like a regular paper filter. I thought all K&N filters were that dark gray color. Anyone know what color it should be if it is a true K&N?

K&Ns are red. Most likely it had a K&N in it and either the previous owner removed it when they traded the truck in, or when the dealer took it in on trade, they took out the K&N and replaced it with a Ford Motorcraft filter.

sounds more like "someone" was stupid, not the filter.

Yeah I guess I should have put a better title on it.

Thanks for the info. I figured it had been replaced but I wanted to check.

I was hoping not to get sucked into the usual, "why K&N sucks" debate.
you should be able to figure out what brand it is by the markings on the filter...
