1984 460 HELP!
It appears to be leaking water coolant near the front of the engine around the manifold (guess) and some oil in the same general area (again a guess). It appears to run OK, just a little sluggish....Any ideas. Is this a common accurance?
Also I want to correct this problem, not sure if I need a total engine rebuild, heads or valves, gasket(s), etc. To do any engine work on this van, it looks like I probably will have to take the engine out, so I will have alot of labor (money) involved. Jasper seems to have a remanufactured engine (long block) for about $2,300 dollars, not counting the labor. Any comments or concerns about Jasper or should I rebuild?
I have a number that I can't decifer, any help........

What carb is on this engine (1984 460)?
I was thinking about headers and dual exhaust. It doesn't seem to have a cat on it, at least I can't see one. Not sure if I have enough room for headers in the E350 van. Anyone know?
Any quality engine rebuilders in the greater Pittsburgh area (100 mile radius) I live in Morgantown WV.
Thanks in advance
Rick
Anyway, I got them and now have absolutley no use for them. They are very nice headers. Well constructed. Super Comp's are normally pretty expensive. I already gasket matched them and they are coated with Eastwood high temp header paint. They would be perfect for you. Let me know if you are interested.
