Hey im new to this site.. I got a f350 XL, Id like to put power windows in my truck, I see the mounting holes for the window motors and theyre only 25 bucks a peice, But the real question is do they run the harness out to the door so everything can just plug in? or should I stop being lazy and do the hard manual labor and just crank my windows up?
There has been some descussion here before on this project.
There are no pre-run wires for this, and it takes lots of work to convert to electric windows, if you are dead-bent to do it then my suggestion is to find a complete donor truck and get all the hardware and wireing from it.
I have an 08 F250 XL and when I looked into that, I was told you can get a kit. Where I live I can have it installed for $350.00 and they told me 1 hour to install. I think putting in the motors is the easy part, wiring them up would be a little challenging for the first time, and then what to do with the holes in the door panel. You can probably get it done at a good accessory shop, or order the kit and do it yourself.
