Question Universal Fifth Wheel Rails

Hi All,

Never posted in this area before. I am looking at a 25ft Fifth Wheel Travel trailer. Now I need a hitch. My truck, 97 F250 Super Cab, has rails in the bed already. So now my question. Bear with me as I have never towed a Fifth Wheel.

Will any hitch fit? Since the rails are already there and the 7 pin plug is already in the bed, can I simply buy any hitch. Weight is not a problem since the trailer is only 4600 pounds dry.

Any suggestions?

there are a bunch that use the same rails..... go to e-trialer and look at the pics. Most you have to buy rails seperatly anyway, but if it looks like the standard 2-rail across bed with 6- 1 1/4 x1/2 slots in each then alot will fit. Poke arounon e-trailer its less confusing than me?!?!?!

Those are Draw Tite or Reese rails. You should be able to put any hitch on those rails.

look for used hitches at your local rv shop. Or on craigslist. I wouldnt buy new if you already have the rails.
