question for the plumbers...
Why on earth can't they at least put flow restrictors in the shower heads...it's just mind boggling how much water is being wasted.
Now I notice this type of valve is becoming the norm at Lowes/Home Depot...why? Water is expensive where I live...and we should conserve it regardless.
Water cost is covered by the money you pay. Want to se what luxury your money gets you. Hit the cheapy mom and pop local hotel that has been there for 50 years, and compare its shower to the brand new Holiday Inn Express they just built down the street. How much extra did you spend for the fluffy matress and the super shower at the HIE. Now figure was it worth it. To many it is. I just got off of a 3 week stint working all night and sleeping all day at different motels. I can say I prefferred the endless suplly of hot water at a higher pressure it loosened the back up and helped me to feel relaxed and ready to sleep. The place that i had to constantly adjust the temp because someone flushed their toilet, and it finished off with a cool rinse was not on my list of places to return to no matter how tired I was.

Lest anyone think they are going to save the world through conservation, you can forget about it. there are 7 billion people now, and if disasters don't thin the herd, we'll see 14 Billion in 50 years...so how is mother earth supposed to provide water and food for that mob? Sorry for the bad news,
the human race will be an unwashed smelly group soon enuf.
I recently bought a couple faucets/shower heads, from either lowes or HD and they came with the water restricting valves.
