302/351w. swap
so i have a ford granada 1976 that had a 302 and im putting in a 351w. out of a 76 ford van and my problem is, i have to rewire my 302 distributor to work for a 351 because the 351 distributor was broken. so.... how do i redo the wiring. thanks y'all

the 302 distributor is different between the 2. the windsor has a bigger shaft because the oil pump drive is thicker. i would order a pionts distributor for a 1969 or 1970 windsor (from the local auto parts store) and then buy a pertronix ignitor to replace the points. i did this 7 years ago and mine has been problem free. this way you have a reman distr. and the ignitor is easy to install plus maintenence free.

Your Granada came with a Durspark distributor, all you need is a reman 351 Duraspark distributor to replace it. It'll plug right into the Granada's harness. Then wire the plug wires to the 351W firing order. A few Granadas came with 351's. Ditto for the Lincoln Versailles. Last Versailles I saw had a 351 from the factory. Funny thing about it was the big GM A/C compressor.
