Any of you use or get Helms manuals. I got them for my old 77 and know you can sign up for a day or month online.
Anyone ever try this, I thinking about it
All I did was go on ebay and bought one of the DVD for sale for my year truck. There are lots of these DVD's on there and they do work great. They are ford factory DVD's.
I baught a eBay DVD rip off. This guy takes Ford manuals and rips them and illegally makes copies of them. Mine never worked on my computer. You have to go into your computer and change the date back to the year of you vehicle. Of course I did this and the disk still would not work. I contacted the seller and he stated. You are the first one with problems. Like I have not heard that before.
I se now on eBay they are actual Ford manuals on there. Actual bound books. They have ford written all over them. Thay are desribed as being from closed or out of business dealers. That's the route I would take next time.
The problem is the DVD is $15 and the books are $100-150.
I looked on ebay didn'tsee anything for my year . I was just wanted to see if any one had used helms online and if they liked it or not .
thanks kevin.
I have to do my rear brakes and rotors and have never done this.
I bought the OEM shop Ford service manuals and wiring diagram book for my truck because I don't like to have my laptop under the truck, etc. but if you want the instructions online, check out this thread.

I agree there is not alot of the DVD's that show up for a 99 year truck but I have seen them on there. I have every year from 2000 to 2007 and have never had a bad one but the ones I have are not copies but actual Ford DVD's. It is true you have to back date them because the disc's are date stamped and after that date they do not play. It takes me all of 60 seconds to change the date on my computer and to load the DVD. I will settle for the 20 bucks I spent for the disc.
