fluid??
does anyone know what the hardline on the outside of the framerail does, it looked like a gas vent but it went to the what i know as the charcoal canister under the hood, i cut the line stupidly thinking i dont need that and there was some red fluid in it......
does anyone know what that line was for?

not very red, not like tranny fluid, but has a definite red color/tint....
where i had to cut it out of the way was a metal line, but it turns to rubber on each end....

You say it goes (went) from the charcoal canister under the hood to the gas vents? This is the truck your building right? If so your truck hasnt been up and about for awhile id bet its just condensation and crap that has gotten tinged with rust and junk from inside the metal lines.
