does anyone know what the hardline on the outside of the framerail does, it looked like a gas vent but it went to the what i know as the charcoal canister under the hood, i cut the line stupidly thinking i dont need that and there was some red fluid in it......
does anyone know what that line was for?
what fluid is that?
that line is for the for the gas vent though??? Its all part of the evap emissions control.. I have no idea what the red stuff could be. What does it smell like? red like tranny fluid or what
?

i have no clue what it is.....it didn't really smell like anything.....it didn't smell like tranny fluid......but i traced the line to each gas vent and to the canister.....why would their be red fluid in there....it dont go anywhere near the tranny.....i dont get it....its not going to make my truck not run is it? but the fluid was def. oilyish....
You say it goes (went) from the charcoal canister under the hood to the gas vents? This is the truck your building right? If so your truck hasnt been up and about for awhile id bet its just condensation and crap that has gotten tinged with rust and junk from inside the metal lines.
