Okay........where the heck are the bulbs for the dash lights?
I replaced the missing dash light fuse in my new slick and spent 20 min contorted under the dash looking for the elusive bulbs?
Where are they hiding?
There are a few screws holding your gauge cluster assembly in the dashboard. Take em out and pull the assembly out from the dashboard. The bulb will be right there at the top. Just pop it out and replace it.
If it's that you just want to replace the instrument lights then it is probably easier if remove the instrument cluster but can be time consuming. Suggest disconnect battery, particularly if you have an amp gauge, would not want to risk frying any wires that may cross. The instrument light wires should be blu with a red tracer, the bulb is housed in a metal socket that snaps into the back of the instrument cluster.
If the problems is that the instrument lights are not working suggest turn the lights on then rotate the **** counter clockwise to see if the instrument lights get brighter. Turning the light switch clockwise can turn the instrument lights off, or so dim unable to detect them. Also, if the truck has set for any length of time, particularly in the winter, a corrosive film can build up causing some resistance, sometimes fiddling with the **** may help, if it does resolve problem then may want to clean the light switch with small dose of electrical switch cleaner.
